Coming from Allyn, the orange gate is located past milepost 16 and just after the slow truck turnout. Coming from Shelton, the gate is located just after the Grapeview Loop RD. The gate closes after 5 PM daily so be out or you may be locked in for the night. The emergency phone number is 1-800-562-6010 if you are locked in.
Warning: The property to the west of the Sherwood Creek Field is private property, plus the Grapeview Elementary school is located over there. Do not hunt or trespass past the western boundary of the Sherwood Creek field. Hunting is also closed on the Sherwood Creek Field on weekdays beginning Nov. 26. Weekend hunting is still ok thru Dec. 15, 2007.
